Jenna Robertson, Intelligence Manager, Marine Investigations, spent 15 years serving the Canadian Government, where she produced money laundering and terrorist financing disclosures and assisted in the creation of suspicious transaction reporting guidance for reporting entities. In November 2021, Jenna joined the Wildlife Justice Commission where she became an advocate for the value of financial intelligence (FININT) in wildlife crime investigations. Jenna currently leads the marine intelligence team, whose targets included transnational networks trafficking in endangered marine species, including shark fin, sea cucumber, and sea horse.

Jenna Robertson began her career as a civilian analyst with Canada’s federal law enforcement known as the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) where she provided analytical support relating to financial crime and drug trafficking investigations. Shortly after, she joined Canada’s financial intelligence unit, FINTRAC, as a senior analyst. There, she produced hundreds of financial intelligence (FININT) disclosures related to money laundering and terrorist activity financing investigations, provided guidance to reporting entities on reporting suspicious transactions, spoke at countless conferences and courses, and briefed senior management on some of Canada’s most high-profile investigations. After spending 15 years serving the Canadian government, Jenna joined the Wildlife Justice Commission in November 2021 where she became an advocate for the value of FININT in wildlife crime investigations. In her current role, Jenna leads the marine intelligence team, whose targets include transnational networks trafficking in endangered marine species including shark fin, sea cucumber and sea horse. Jenna is currently completing a Master of Science in Countering Organised Crime and Terrorism through the University College London, choosing to focus her dissertation on developing a crime script for shark fin trafficking.
